Willis McKinnon Coker, age 85, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his home.  He was born on May 27, 1931 in Amity, the son of the late Hardy and Elsie Whisenhunt Coker.  Coke graduated from Murfreesboro High School and was a fabricator with Reynolds Metal.  He was a member of the Pine Street Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing, woodworking and collecting guns and knives.  Coke was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Coker and his grandson, SGT Kevin Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Vondell Finney Coker of Arkadelphia, his daughter, Debbie Seale (Arlon) of Arkadelphia, two sons, COL Michael Coker (LTC Sheila Coker) of Honolulu , HI and Steve Coker of Apple Valley , MN , two sisters, Lastena Coker and Oletha Hoover, both of Murfreesboro , nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.

Interment will be in Hart Cemetery .

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
