William Thomas Currey, age 77, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock .  He was born April 18, 1939 , in Gurdon, the son of the late Paul Davis and Maggie Sue Smith Currey.  William was a retired self employed logger and house mover.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Barbara Dickerson, and his son, William Christopher Currey.

William is survived by his wife, Glenda Sue Clark Currey of Gurdon, three daughters, Kathleen (Chuck) Rutherford, Shelly Kaye Currey, and Kelly Jean (Jeff) Blanton, all of Gurdon, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, two brothers, Everett and Jimmy Currey both of Gurdon, and one sister, Peggy Jean Hathcoat of Gurdon.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Deceipher Cemetery at Gurdon with Donnie Deaton and Jack Usery officiating.

No visitation is planned.

Pallbearers are Tyler and Will Watters, Brian and Evan Rutherford, Dusty and James Currey
