Vivian Louisa Lakey, age 64, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Monday October 24, 2011 at her home. She was born on January 28, 1947 in Murfreesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Albert Dolvan and Charlotte Phillips Speelman. Vivian worked as the office manager for Andrew's Candy Kitchen and circulation manager for Des Plains Publishing. She was a member of Richwoods Baptist Church and a United States Army veteran. Vivian was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Doyle Speelman. She is survived by her husband, Robert Lewis Lakey, one daughter, Shawn Dew (Jimmy) Carlton of Arkadelphia, one son, Erin Grogan of Chicago and seven grandchildren, Dustin Cooper, Quenton Cooper, Jared Carlton, Molly Carlton, Zachary Grogan, Kylie Grogan and Bryce Grogan. A celebration of Vivian's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Park Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Erby Burgess officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Clark County, 627 Walnut Street, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
