Vanessa Plummer Dixon, age 67, of Curtis, passed from this life on Thursday May 20, 2021 at her home. She was born on August 22, 1953 in New Orleans the daughter of the late William and Virginia Bailey Plummer. Vanessa worked in the banking industry and as a office administrator for many years. She loved gardening, horses including her favorite, Sandy, trail rides and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Vanessa was a true fighter, achieving far more than was ever imagined in her brief life.  She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Reginald Plummer.

Vanessa is survived by her husband, Gregory Dixon Sr, one son, Gregory Dixon Jr (Sarah) of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Melissa Chitwood (Brad) of Curtis and Melanie Byrd of Sneeds Ferry, NC, one brother, Adrian Plummer of Chalmette, LA, seven grandchildren, Carter, Matthew, Alexandra, Scarlett, Sherri, Shannon, Haiden, and three great grandchildren, Bryce, Kutter, and Beau.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM  on Tuesday May 25, 2021, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Genung officiating.
