Dr. Tifton "Tiff" Connor Covington, age 57, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, June 3, 2022, at UAMS as a result of a motorcycle accident that was not his fault.  He was born November 28, 1964, in Wichita Falls, TX, the son of the late Wilburn Connor and Louise Shaffer Covington.  Tiff was a 1983 graduate of Rider High School in Wichita Falls, TX.  He graduated in 1987 from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls with a BS in Biology.  He later obtained his certification as a respiratory therapist and worked for Wichita General Hospital.  Tiff graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 1990.  He owned and operated Arkadelphia Eye Clinic in Arkadelphia for many years.  Tiff was currently employed as a consultant at Hall Family Eye Clinic in Pine Bluff.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia.  Tiff was full of adventure, enjoying all forms of outdoor and especially water activities.  He enjoyed fishing, sailing, snow skiing, house boating and motorcycle riding in his free time.  Tiff was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his best friend and the mother of his children, Cheryl Covington of Arkadelphia, his three wonderful children, GraceAnn Claire, Tifton Connor II and Sydney Anderson Covington all of Arkadelphia, two sisters, La Donna Brown of Wichita Falls, TX and Gale Hudson (John) of Amarillo, TX.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2022, at First United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Welch Funeral Home.
