Thelma Louise Matthews Corbett, age 77, of Arkadelphia, died on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at her home. She was born on October 26, 1929 in Percell, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Virgil and Mertle Holt Matthews. Thelma was a devoted mother and dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Virgil, Carl and Gerald Matthews and one sister, Delores Matthews. Thelma is survived by her husband Paul J. Corbett of Arkadelphia, four daughters, Theresa L. Alfonso and Marylyn D. Chapman, both of Arkadelphia, Anita R. Lage and her husband, Butch and Kim E. Copeland and her husband, Steve, all of Laughlin, AZ, one step-daughter, Tammy Holt and her husband, Paul, two step-sons, Paul J. Corbett and Thomas D. Corbett, one sister, Glena Matthews, three brothers, Bruce, Randy & Mike Matthews, eleven grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Private interment services will be held at a later date in Norman, Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross. Services are entrusted to Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
