Shirley Marie Callaway Malcom, age 80, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock . She was born April 27, 1936 in Sparkman, the daughter of the late Ross and Eunice Marie Scott Callaway. Shirley was a retired book keeper for Sturgis Lumber Co., John Deere and Ouachita Baptist University . She was a member of New Caney Baptist Church and Eastern Star.   Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis Malcom, one sister, Vaunita Sudbery and one nephew, Steve Sudbery.


Survivors are two step daughters, Nancy Jo Jolley of Loomis, CA and Ann Waters of Granite Bay, CA, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, two nephews, Don Sudbery of New Castle, OK, and Bill Sudbery of New Orleans, LA, one niece, Gina Scott of Camden, and one brother in law, Connie (Judy) Malcom of Arkadelphia.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Welch Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Newsom officiating.


Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Saturday at Welch Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
