Sara Ann Ewing Gills, age 82, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Sunday February 12, 2023, at her home. She was born on January 17, 1941, in Bemidji, Minnesota the daughter of the late Stanley and Lulu Fay Smith Ewing. Sara was a graduate of Henderson State University. She retired from Southwest Airlines where she worked as a reservationist. Sara enjoyed horseracing, water skiing and fishing in her free time. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Sara is survived by her husband, William Kenneth Gills of Arkadelphia, one son, Kenneth Scott Gills, one daughter, Carolyn Gills, two brothers, Mickey Ewing (Mary) of Tenstrike, MN and Marvin Ewing of Tenstrike, and three sisters, Carole Ewing McCarley of Bemidji, Nita Glennie (Dr. Peter) of Tucson, Arizona, and Vivian Ewing (Roger) of Calgary, Alberta Canada.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday February 18, 2023, at South Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Martin officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery.
