Sallie Bell Hill, age 95, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia.  She was born September 3, 1923 in Clark County , the daughter of the late William and Ollie Garrett Burton.  Sallie worked at the children's colony.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church .  Sallie enjoyed quilting, reading and writing poetry in her free time.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, J.D. Hill and Linda Gough, three brothers, Howard, Garrett and Eldred and one sister, Coy.

Survivors are four sons, Tommy Hill (Patricia) of Alpine, Henry Hill (Rhonda) of Alpine, Houston Hill of Arkadelphia, and George Hill of Mary Esther, FL, six daughters, Elizabeth Cox of Arkadelphia, Nancy Cox (Raymond) of Nathan, Dale Humphry (Jimmy) of Delight, Geneva Jackson of Ft. Worth, Sally Sharp (Bobby) of New Hope, and Joan Loy of Bismarck, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Welch Funeral Home. With Rev. Mary Lee Downey officiating.
