Ruth Idel Suggs, age 80, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at her home.  She was born October 28, 1937 in Little Rock , the daughter of the late Curtis Woodrow and Ruth Inez Stephens Richter.  Ruth was a  graduate of Fuller High School and attended Ouachita Baptist University .  She was a women's advocate for the Courage House.  Ruth was a member of Ironton Baptist Church in Little Rock .  She enjoyed watching Razorback football and basketball games in her free time.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Cathy Thomas, one sister in law, Carolyn Richter and one brother in law, Joe Wine.

Survivors are one daughter, Cheryl Cooper (Robert) of Arkadelphia, three sons, Clayton Suggs (Memorie) of Wells Point, TX, Michael Suggs (Shelly) of Hot Springs, AR, and Ted Suggs (Tracy) of Robertsdale, AL, two sisters, Emily Wine of Little Rock and Stella Harton (James) of Little Rock, three brothers, Curtis Richter of Little Rock, Steven Richter (Joyce) of Little Rock, and Larry Richter (Wendy) of Friendship, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 9, 2018 at Ironton Baptist Church in Little Rock with Bro. Chris Winkle officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM Sunday at Welch Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Woods Cemetery .
