Rufus Junior Wells, age 83, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Monday, May 11, 2015 at his home. He was born December 13, 1931 in Gurdon, the son of the late Barney Price and Ella Reynolds Wells. He was retired from the water department in Ohio and a member of South Fork Baptist Church. Rufus enjoyed working in his garden. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Ray and Robert Wells. Rufus is survived by his wife, Donna Elsass Wells of the home, one daughter, Debbie (George) Holb of Las Cruces, NM, one son, Don (Sue) Wells of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, one brother, Joe Lynn (Janice) Wells of Liberty, Mo, one sister, Joyce Ann (Loy) Wells Dull of Independence, MO, one granddaughter, Dana (Kevin) Morgan of Westminster, CO, and one great granddaughter, Emma Morgan. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at South Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Ollie Trout officiating. Interment will be in South Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at Welch Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to South Fork Cemetery Fund, c/o Eddie Wells 171 Parr Rd Gurdon AR 71743.
