Ruby Jean Haynie, age 82, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. She was born January 5, 1931, in Louisiana, the daughter of the late Henry and Clara Brown Chelette. Ruby was a homemaker and a member of United Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Haynie, her son, Randy Dale Haynie, two brothers, Cecil and Orville Chelette and three sisters, Bernice Vaughn, Mildred Vaughn and Gladys Juneau. Ruby is survived by two sons, Doyle Bruce (Debbie) Haynie and Kenneth Wayne Haynie of Arkadelphia, six grandchildren, Jennifer Hawthorn, Shane Gummeson, Justin Haynie, Melia Burnside, Tiffany Ware and Patrick Haynie and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Welch Funeral Home, with Bro. Richard Price officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hedge Cemetery at Gurdon. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Welch Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to United Pentecostal Church, 2711 Country Club Road, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
