Roy Lee Roberts, age 78, of Bismarck, passed from this life on Friday, December 5, 2008 at his home. He was born on August 9, 1930 in Big Springs, Texas, the son of the late Patrick & Minnie Johnson Roberts. Roy was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a driller in the oil fields of Texas, attended the Church of Christ and was a member of the VFW. Roy is survived by his wife, Lessa Harper Roberts of Bismarck, two sons, Bobby & Jim Roberts of Wichita Falls, two daughters, Dana Curtis of Dallas and Minete Smith of Wichita Falls, two step-daughters, Ramona Arnett of Bismarck and Kelly Preston of Searcy, two sisters, Delores Jones of Wichita Falls and Lou Smith of Bowie, TX, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia, with Rick Preston officiating. Interment will be in Valley Cemetery.
