Rosie Janette ( Tootsie or Jan ) Morrison, age 66, of Pearcy, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at St. Joseph s Mercy Health Care Center in Hot Springs. She was born January 4, 1942, in Hot Springs, the daughter of the late George & Vergie Casey Geurin. Jan managed a medical answering service in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex before retiring to Pearcy in 1997. She was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Crowe & one brother, Edward Gene Geurin. Survivors are her husband of Forty-eight years, John E. Morrison of Pearcy; Two sons, John Bertell Morrison & his wife Cheryl of Colorado Springs, CO. & Ronald Martin Morrison of Pueblo, CO. Four granddaughters, Rachel, Jennifer, Jessica & Sarah. Three great granddaughters, Kyley, Mia & Ashaya. Two brothers, James Wayne Geurin & Paul David Geurin of Hot Springs. Four sisters, Debrah Lynn Rainwater, Barbara Ann Geurin, Sandy Kay Evans all of Hot Springs, & Pamela Carol Cambell of Fort Smith. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 3, 2008, at Christway Unity Church, 300 Oaklawn Ave, Hot Springs, AR. with Pastor Bea Arline officiating. Interment will be in Ozark Lythia Cemetery near Hot Springs by Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. The family will receive friends at Christway Unity Church from 6 to 8 PM Thursday. Pallbearers are Mark Geurin, Wayne Geurin, Paul Geurin, Jason Leopold, Donnie Campbell & Heath Campbell. Memorials may be made to Garland County Humane Society.
