Ronald Louis Nunn (USAF ret.), age 79, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born on November 23, 1928 in Quincy, IL, the son of the late Wilbur James and Erma Vesta Van Metre Nunn. Ron was a Baptist and a member of the O Fallon Masonic Lodge #576. He was a retired senior master sergeant of the United States Air Force and served in the United States Navy. Ron retired from Henderson State University after twenty-five years. He had a big heart and his kindness touched everyone. Ron enjoyed spending time with the Arkadelphia Bass Club, Andy s Morning Crew, and the workers of the Physical Plant at Henderson State University. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Majorie Neyman Nunn, and two brothers, Robert and James Nunn.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Burton Nunn, three daughters, Debbie Jock and her husband Charlie of Kerens, TX, Laurie Bryant and her husband Phil of Griffifthtown, Nicole Bingham and her husband Kevin of Hot Springs, two sons, Josh Jeffers of Little Rock and Jeremy Allen and his wife Jessica of Hot Springs, five grandsons, Charles Huggins, Ronnie Lemons, Josh Campbell, Quincy Campbell, Jacob Bingham, six great grandchildren, Ethan and Halie Campbell, Jordyn, Gracie and Ronnie Lemons, and Analeiah Huggins.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Welch Funeral Home with Keith Ritter officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Henderson State University, 1100 Henderson Street, Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
