Obituary

Robert "Bobby" D Turner of Arkadelphia passed away peacefully in his home on Dec 5th, 2017.  He was born September 2nd 1968 in Durango, CO to Carma and Leonard Turner.  He was raised in Colorado until he moved to Arkansas in 2011. His love for life and his family was what drove him every day. If Bobby was asked what he would say about himself, he would probably say (very humbly), 'that he was a simple man, with only simple needs, and that he was very passionate in everything he did'. He would say 'that he lived, loved, and laughed with all that was inside him'. Bobby was an avid and accomplished hunter, father, husband, and very passionate in his career choice as well. It was in his early prime, that he developed a passion for helping his community in the form of being an expert electrical lineman, which he knew would be his life-long career from the moment he stepped through that first door. He always wanted the best for his young family, and knew that this choice would (and did) make that happen.

Although he always took life very seriously, he also loved to make everybody laugh. His smile never went away, and would light up a room wherever he went.

He was born into a family of avid hunters and fishermen, and as a young man, quickly became one of the best himself. He was a very sought after hunting guide in Colorado for several years.

He was a notable member of the Elks Club, where he was quickly promoted to the position of Lecturing Knight and a member of the traveling debating team.

He was also very much the all-around real-life cowboy, that other cowboys would look up to and seek advice from. He briefly competed in local rodeos with his father and friends, and once took 4th place in his big event

Bobby was very much an athlete, and very competitive in his youth. However, his true calling in athletics, was as a coach and mentor, and his ability to pass his knowledge by teaching not only his own children, but others' children as well.

Simply, he was the best friend anybody could ask for. There was nothing that he wouldn't do to help a friend or family member in need

Bobby is survived in life by the love of his life and recent newlywed wife Ginger, his immediate family of four children, Rhett, Dustie, Chase, and Brody, his sister and her husband Tammie & Danny Huntsman, and his mother and father Leonard & Carma, father and mother in law, Dick and Linda Willis, brother in law, Greg Willis, his nephew Blane & his wife Nicole, his nephew Trevor, his niece Tierney, his great-niece Anberlynn, and great-nephew Asher, along with numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles

In his passing we can all rest easy that he will be very well received and happy to finally be reunited with his grandparents Ralph & Fern Turner, and Albert & Nelly Cole.
