Robert Buren Nix, age 77, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at his home.  He was born November 2, 1943, in Malvern, AR, the son of the late Otis and Ida Gardner Nix.  Robert was a 1961 graduate of Hermitage High School.  He was a United States Army veteran serving in Desert Storm and in Panama during Vietnam.  Robert was retired from IP as a Forestry Technician.  He attended Mt Zion Baptist Church.  Robert enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping in his free time.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carol Russell Nix and one brother, Johnny Nix.

Survivors are two daughters, Jeanette Turner (David) of Arkadelphia and Belinda Nix of Conway, his best friend and companion, Linda Nix of Arkadelphia, three sisters, Frances Cross and Doris Grissom both of Camden, and Carolyn Harcrow of Mt Ida, one grandson, Jess Turner of Arkadelphia, one great grandson, Ashton Turner of Arkadelphia and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 30, 2020, at Bluff City Cemetery with Bro. Ray Franklin officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:30 - 2:00 PM Monday at the cemetery.
