Robert Wayne "Butch" Mauldin, age 71, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday May 6, 2022, at VA Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on November 20, 1950, in El Dorado the son of the late Garland and Mildred Jones Mauldin. Butch served in the United States Army from Feb. 25, 1969 to Sept. 13, 1971 during the Vietnam war.  He received several medals including, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Two Overseas Bars, and was an expert marksman with both the M-16 and M-14.  Butch was employed as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing in his free time. Butch is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Melissa Ann Mauldin, two brother in laws, Gary and Raymond Jackson,  and his wife of many years, Janice Ann Mauldin.

Butch is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Bryant and Christy Green both of Arkadelphia, five grandchildren, Brittney Maddox of Texarkana, Brett and Wade Green of Arkadelphia, Justin Beaty of Hot Springs, and Kaylee Bryant of Gurdon, two great grandchildren, Liam Bryant and Whitley Maddox, three brothers, Buddy Mauldin of Gum Springs, Bill Mauldin and Johnny Mauldin both of Prescott, four sisters, Sue McClure of Arkadelphia, Judy McClure of Gurdon, Pam Jetton of Camden, and Faye Andrews of Bryant, and many nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind wife and long life friend, Cindy Crews.

A celebration of Butch's life will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday May 12, 2022, at Park Missionary Baptist Church in Prescott with Bro Donnie Deaton and Bro Eric Jackson officiating.
