Ralph Edward Williams, age 75 of Gurdon, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 in his home. Ralph was born on September 17, 1945 to Lewis and Viola Williams in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. At the age of three he contracted polio, but he never let that slow him down. Ralph received his Diploma in 1966 and went on to learn small engine repair. He worked 12 years as a forklift driver with Perley Cable in Malvern, Arkansas. After a company layoff he worked his way up from grounds maintenance to lead at the Tyson Chicken Plant where he remained until retirement.

Ralph was a patient, generous man that loved creation and his creator. He was a member of the Nazarene Church and an avid follower of his faith. Some may remember Ralph as the Jeep driving, arrowhead hunting, fun loving fisherman. He enjoyed planting flowers, hiking to catch a glimpse of a waterfall, or sitting on the porch with his morning coffee watching the birds. Most of all he had a deep love for his family, whom will miss him just as deeply. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, and his two brothers, Larry and Onis Williams.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, "Judy" Geraldine Williams, daughters Gretta (Roy) Sargent, Suzanne Graves and special "adopted" daughter, Tammie Burchett. Ralph is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am Friday, September 3, 2021 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Roy Sargent, Brandon Williams, "Homer" Don Collins, Brian Watson, Charles Gaither and David Coston.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:00 am Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Golden Cemetery.
