Perry Don Williams, age 76, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his home.  He was born June 25, 1942 in Gurdon, the son of the late Cecil and Donnie Lee Crosslin Williams.  Perry was a retired carpenter, home inspector and worked for International Paper Co. for twelve years.  He was a United States Navy veteran.  Perry enjoyed camping, gardening, reading, western movies and playing on his tractor and mule.  He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Billy Burl Williams, and two sisters, Virginia Parsley and Frances Blagg.

Survivors are his wife of fifty-five years, Shirley Hughes Williams of Gurdon, one son, Terry (Gloria) Williams of Gurdon, one daughter, Trela Williams of Grapevine, TX, one sister, Betty Jones of Gurdon, four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held at Welch Funeral Home on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM .
