Peggy Jean Hathcoat, age 73, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.  She was born June 1, 1947, in Gurdon, the daughter of the late Paul David and Maggie Sue Smith Currey.  Peggy was a homemaker and a member of Red Springs Baptist Church.  She enjoyed Woodworking and tending to her yard in her free time.  Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Joe Paul Hathcoat, one sister, Barbara Dickerson, two brothers, William and Glen Currey.

Survivors are her husband, Danny Hathcoat of Gurdon, two daughters, Melissa Jean Church (Greg) of Caddo Valley, and Pamela K. Dopson (Barry) of Monroe, LA, two brothers, Everett Currey (Patsy) of Gurdon, and Jimmy Currey of Gurdon, fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Decipher Cemetery in Gurdon with Greg Church officiating.

Visitation will be private.

Pallbearers are Aaron Church, Logan Dopson, Delton Rodgers, Cody Williams, Bobby Kellett and Drew Hathcoat.
