Paulette Cecille McCary, age 78, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Monday, May 31, 2021, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.  She was born August 18, 1942, in Shreveport, LA, the daughter of the late Cecil and Katherine Crenshaw McCary.  Paulette held a PHD in Clinial Social Work from Northeast Louisiana University and UALR.  She worked for the state of Louisiana in the foster care and advocacy for children department for many years.  Paulette was a Baptist and enjoyed reading in her free time.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors are her special friend, Tressie Bass of Arkadelphia, the entire Bass family, aunts, uncles and a host of cousins in the Shreveport area..

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the foster grandparent program at OBU.
