Paul Douglas Gaither, age 62, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born August 15, 1945, in Arkadelphia, the son of Ruben Glen & Hazel Watts Gaither. Paul was a retired millwright with Morse Automotive, International Paper Co. & Fafnir, an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of Caddo Valley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father & one brother Glen Allen Gaither.

Paul is survived by his mother, Hazel Gaither of Arkadelphia, One daughter, Jeri Freeman & her husband Tim of Hope, One son, Russell Russ Gaither & his wife Nora of Arkadelphia. Eight grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 6, 2008, at Carter Cemetery with Bro. Ben Sullivan officiating.

Family hours are 4 to 6 PM Saturday at Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Pallbearers will be Alan Gaither, Randy Gaither, Glen Gaither, Jimmy Ledbetter, Robert Todd, and Ronnie Young.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carter Cemetery Fund c/o Betty Carter Route 1 Arkadelphia, AR 71923.
