Patty Faye Sorrells, age 71, of Delight, passed from this life on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at her home. She was born on May 10, 1943 in Dobyville, the daughter of the late Russell and Esther Pierce Burton. Patty worked as a cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Michelle Lee Sorrells. Patty is survived by her husband, Charles Sorrells, of Delight, her daughter, Deborah (Billy) Jackson of Murfreesboro, her son, Darrell (Mona) Sorrells of Murfreesboro, two sisters, Martha Andrews of Sherwood and Thelma Woodall of Malvern and three grandchildren, Jacob Matthew Sorrells, Billy Jackson, III and Jonathan Andrew Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Murfreesboro with Bro. Steve Franklin officiating. Interment will be in Roy Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Pallbearers will be Alfred Sorrells, Jonathan Jackson, Billy Jackson, III, Chris Jackson and Austin Vaught.
