Myrtle Carpenter Runyan, age 103, of Amity, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at her home in the Graysonia community. Myrtle was born October 22, 1902, in Franklin County, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson & Rebecca Jane Stanford Carpenter. She worked as a dental assistant for her late husband, Dr. C.E. Runyan. Myrtle was a member of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia and the Fidelis Sunday school class. Survivors are one daughter, Hildred Rayner & her husband C.T. of Oklahoma City, OK. Two grandchildren, Tim Rayner of Oklahoma City, OK. & Leslie Rehman & her husband, David of Dallas, TX One great grandchild, Lauren Rehman. Private family graveside services were held at Jones Cemetery at Amity with Will Thompson officiating.
