Murrel Glendon Johnson, age 96, of Millington, TN, formerly of Delight, passed from this life of natural causes on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at Veterans Medical Center in Memphis, TN.  He was born February 18, 1924, in Delight, the son of the late Luther John and Rena Bell Horton Johnson.  Murrel was a graduate of Delight High School.  He was a retired barber and machinest.  Murrel was a United States Army veteran.  He was a member of Delight United Methodist Church.  Murrel enjoyed wood working, fishing and music in his free time.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joan Johnson, one daughter, Julie Stuart, and one sister, Kathleen Hewitt.

Survivors are one son, John Johnson (Cindy) of Millington, TN, one daughter, Teresa Frazier (Ricky) of Texarkana, grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Lexie Johnson, Rachel Arnold, Karli Frazier, Gavin and Amy Palpallatoc, great grandchildren, Ella Arnold, Levi and Kaylee Johnson.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 18, 2020, at Delight Cemetery with Bro. Jim Henderson officiating.
