Milrene Copeland, age 81, of Okolona , passed from this life on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs .  She was born on April 12, 1936 in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late James William and Zettie Louise Loy Karr.  Milrene retired after thirty years at Levi-Strauss & Co.  She was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, yard work and spending time with family.  Even in her later years, Milrene still enjoyed deer hunting!  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Billy D. Copeland, her son, Daniel D. Witherspoon and three brothers, James Delmas, Virgle Lee and James Edward Karr.

Milrene is survived by two sons, Larry D. Copeland (Joann) of Murfreesboro and Victor A. Witherspoon (Sheila) of Friendship, her sister, Mary Lee Arnold of Arkadelphia, her brother, Buster Karr (Barbara), four grandchildren, Damon Witherspoon (Dawn), Allen Witherspoon (Melody) and Josh and Jake Copeland and four great grandchildren, Ian, Mattie, Cassidy and Lucas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Mt Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Franklin officiating.

VISITATION CANCELLED FOR TUESDAY NIGHT .

Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Wednesday at Mt Zion Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens .
