Miladeen (Millie) Smart, age 85, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, September 17, 2020, at her home.  She was born January 14, 1935, in Sacramento, CA, the daughter of the late Clarence and Leta Crose Hines.  Millie was a former bank teller, and retired bookkeeper for Smart Timber Company.  She was a member of Third Street Baptist Church.  Millie enjoyed playing card games with the grandkids, sewing, cooking, knitting and yard work in her free time.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill Smart, one sister, Claire Bauckus, one brother, Bill Ham, daughter in law, Linda Smart, two granddaughters, Amanda Smart and Sara Hough, and grandson in law John Hough.

Survivors are three sons, Bill Smart (Debbie) of Lewistown, MT, Steve Smart of Arkadelphia, and Mike Smart of Dalles, OR, one brother, Jim Hines of Grants Pass, OR, nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.

No visitation is planned.
