Michael Eugene "Mike" Volz, age 52, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.  He was born on October 23, 1966 in Covington, Louisiana .  Mike was a 1992 graduate of Henderson State University and attended Third Street Baptist Church .  He was the director of the Parks and Recreation for Arkadelphia.  Mike loved all sports and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Gaither.

Mike is survived by the love of his life, Margie McAnally of Arkadelphia, his son, Alex Volz of Okolona , and his daughter, Constance "Sissy" Volz of Okolona.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Third Street Baptist Church , with Bro. Greg Lathem officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Campbell, Matt Johnson, Derek Phillips, Mickey Barksdale, Ben Chandler, Jonathan Boyce, Keith Perkins and Damon Hart.
