Michael Wayne Thomas, age 56, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at St. Joseph Mercy Health Care Center in Hot Springs. He was born on April 8, 1954 in Arkadelphia, the son of the late Charles William and Charlie Sue Elliott Thomas. Mike was a logger, a restaurant owner and an oil rig worker. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a Christian. Mike was preceded in death by his son, Sgt. Kevin Thomas. He is survived by one daughter, Tonya (Darrell) Clark of Arkadelphia, one brother, Randy (Cheryl) Thomas of Arkadelphia, one sister Sheila (Thad) Pasley of Arkadelphia, two grandchildren, Kayla and Zachary Clark and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 PM on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Richland Cemetery with Brad West officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Friday at Welch Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Mike McCauley, Dennis Rowe, Johnny Calley, Toby Garner, Johnny Rucker and Steve Thomas.
