Michael Dewain Maxwell, age 73, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at his home.  He was born August 31, 1944 in Minden , LA , the son of the late Bob Dewain and Frances Lynd Maxwell.  Michael was a 1963 graduate of Pine Bluff High School .  He was retired from International Paper Company as a general mechanic.  Michael was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling in his free time.  Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson, Dustin Maxwell.

Survivors are his wife, Judy Carol West Maxwell of Arkadelphia, two sons, Michael D. Maxwell Jr of Florida , and Gregory S. Maxwell (Carmen) of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Misty L. Mazingo (Phil) of Fairfax, VA, two brothers, Tony Maxwell (Gloria) of Pine Bluff and Steve Maxwell (Linda) of Arkadelphia, one sister, Judy Ratliff (Porter) of Pine Bluff, five grandchildren, Dustin and Haley Maxwell both of Pine Bluff, Maya Maxwell of Dalark, Emily Mazingo of Fairfax, VA and Pyper Maxwell of Arkadelphia.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 31, 2018 at DeGray Cemetery with Bro. Ray Franklin officiating.

No Visitation will be held.
