Michael Wayne Grogan, age 67, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Monday, February 4, 2008 at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born on February 15, 1940 in Little Rock, the son of the late Horace and Charmel Crandall Grogan. Michael was valedictorian of Sheridan High School in 1958. He attended Arkansas Tech University and was a 1965 graduate of Henderson State University with a bachelor of arts degree in literature. Michael was a writer, a poet and publisher of Heroes from Hackland .

Michael is survived by his sister, Charmee Andrews, of Arkadelphia and his brother, Gary Grogan of Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Langley and Bro. Carroll Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Richland Cemetery. Family hours will be from 12:00 noon until service time on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Andrews, Brett Andrews, Jimmy Carlton, Kris Coon, John Morgan, and Erin Grogan.
