Michael Steven Forrest, age 60, of Chandler, NC, passed from this life on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Mission Medical Center in Ashville, NC.  He was born July 24, 1965, in Anchorage, AK, the son of Jerry Bruce and Louise Atkins Forrest.  Michael was a 1984 graduate of Enka High School and was employed as a baker at Ingles Markets.  He was a United States Navy veteran.  Michael was preceded in death by his father, Jerry B. Forrest and his grandmother, Edna McCall Scoggins.

Survivors are his mother, Louise Forrest of Pearcy, AR, and one sister, Kimberly Campbell (Tommie) of Pearcy, AR.
