Melba Ruth (Creech) Badeaux Webb, age 77, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at St. Joseph s Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. She was born July 13, 1930, in Columbia County, AR., the daughter of the late Luther Alfred & Ruth Acuff Creech. Melba was a homemaker & a charter member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Gurdon, and played the piano at the church for many years. She was a past member of WMU at Beech Street Baptist Church of Gurdon. Melba was preceded in death by her first husband T.A. Badeaux in 1961 & her second husband Eugene Webb in 1994, two sons, Dennie & David Badeaux, two sisters, Peggy Howell & Margie Hughes. Survivors are three sons; Douglas Badeaux of Kennewick, WA., Don Badeaux of Lavaca, AR. & Daniel Badeaux of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Five daughters; Ann Baumgardner of Gurdon, Teresa Higginbotham of Arkadelphia, Judy Lowrance of Cedarville, Sarah Dickey of Gurdon & Faye Scott of Norman. One sister; Becky Cogbill of Hope. 19 grandchildren, 22 step grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 46 step great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Revs. Lloyd Baumgardner, Maurice Dickey, Doug Higginbotham & T.R. Lowrance officiating. Interment will be in Bluff City Cemetery under the direction of Welch Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Wednesday at the church. Pallbearers are Ricky Powell, Wesley Sparks, Jeff Ryan, Masion Hobbs, Mac Purdy & Donnie Badeaux. Honorary pallbearers are Joey Fisher, Ryan Hooks, Troy Hooks & Jimmy Cogbill.
