Mary Pauline Gibson, age 73, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Sunday, March 23, 2008, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs. She was born on July 2, 1934 in Waldron, the daughter of the late George Robert and Eria Alice Wagner Bean. Mary was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gurdon. She was preceded in death by one son, Delbert Gibson, five sisters and three brothers. Mary is survived by two daughters, Alice Badeaux and Patricia Jester, both of Gurdon, five sons, David Gibson of Arkadelphia, Douglas Gibson of New Mexico, Donald Gibson of Chidester, Dennis Gibson of Fort Smith and Roy Gibson of Arkadelphia, one sister, Joyce Henson of Fayetteville, fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. Lloyd Baumgardner officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Sycamore. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to Rose Hill Cemetery at Sycamore. Services are entrusted to Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
