Martha L. (Walton) Loyd, age 69, of Caney died Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs. She was born February 14, 1936 in Hot Springs, the daughter of the late Odom and Gatha Carter Jestes. Martha was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Riley Walton, and her second husband, Charles Loyd. Martha is survived by two sons, Sam Walton and his wife Ginger of Caney and Kenneth Walton and his wife Lori of Salsbury, NC, four daughters, Tammy Barnes and her husband Bill of Caney, Debbie Stiles and her husband Larry of Malvern, Vester May and her husband Neil of Hollywood, and Vicky Scott and her husband Mike of Okolona and seven grandchildren, Gary Walton, January Baumgardner, Jennifer Smithpeters, Angie May, Andy May, Josh Dyess, and Tyler Walton. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM Friday, September 23, 2005 at Caney Cemetery with Rev. Mildred Bryant officiating. Family hours are from 6 8 PM Thursday at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
