Marie Smith, age 79, of Bismarck, passed from this life on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at her home. She was born on January 27, 1934 in Mansfield, the daughter of the late Fred and Callie Bottoms Clopton. Marie was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Smith. Marie is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Ernest) Purifoy of Bearden, three sons, Mike (Martha) Smith, Ricky (Renee) Smith and Terry (Michelle) Smith, all of Bismarck, one sister, Bestine Reese of Fort Smith, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Smyrna Cemetery with Bro. Maurice Dickey officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Welch Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Kenny Godwin, Steven Smith, Gunner Cook, Eric Pratt, Daniel Jones, Scott Cook and Chase Smith.
