Margaret Walene Nelson Phillips, age 86, of Bismarck, passed from this life on Thursday August 14, 2025, at CHI St. Vincent's Medical Center in Hot Springs. She was born on June 14, 1939, in California, the daughter of the late Leonard and Marie Nelson. Margaret worked at the Degray State Park Store and made custom drapes for many homes and businesses in the area. She was a member of Oak Bower Church of Christ. Margaret enjoyed fishing, hunting, sewing, and volunteering at Helping Hands of Bismarck. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glen Phillips, one son, Gary Phillips, one brother, Harvey Nelson, and two sisters, Laura Phillips and Bernice Phillips.

Margaret is survived by two sons, Carl Phillips and Mike Phillips of Bismarck, one daughter, Sheila Whitley (Jimmy) of Bismarck, six grandchildren, Kristi Bellomy (Stephen), Courtney Phillips, Neil Whitley (Tiffany), Tasha Phillips, Britney Sanders (Alan), Justin Phillips, and nineteen great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday August 19, 2025, At Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Bro Mike Rucker officiating

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.
