Major Charles Joseph "Chuck" Boice (U.S. ARMY, RETIRED) , age 82, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at his home. He was born on May 7, 1931 in Celina, OH, the son of the late Charles and Marie McDonald Boice. Chuck was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church, Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge #381 and American Legion. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans and a motorcycle enthusiast. Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Boice, three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Lyndia Fentress of Charlotte, NC, his son, Rodney Boice of Arkadelphia, two sisters, Laurel Lee Boice and Karen Jean Boice, both of Ohio, five grandchildren, Bobbi Lynn Boice, Joshua Charles Boice, Sara Jean Boice, Jonathan Fentress and Jami Fentress and nine great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Pate officiating.
