Magelene Pittman Buck, age 92, of Arkadelphia died on August 7, 2005 at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born February 16, 1913 in Amity, the daughter of the late William and Amanda Belle Wilder Pittman. She was retired from the Foster Grandparent Program having worked in Amity Public Schools. She was married to Jesse Onis Buck on August 31, 1929 in Alpine, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Onis Buck, her son, Melvin Buck, and one great-granddaughter, Susan Stacey Kirksey. Survivors include two sons, Loy Buck and his wife, Kate, of Kirby, Gary Buck and his wife, Patsy, of Hot Springs, one daughter, Vita Franks and her husband, George of Arkadelphia, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia, with Rev. Bill Cato and Bro. Billy Thomason officiating. Family hours will be from 6 to 7:30 PM on Monday at Welch Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Les Brown, Wayne Holcomb, John Haltom, Kendall Hunter, Bob Sanders and Rodney Grant.
