Lovie Lorene Manasco, age 87, of Arkadelphia, AR (formerly of Florien, LA) died Monday, November 6, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on May 7, 1919 in Fisher, LA, the daughter of Marion Columbus Lum Sr. and Laura Jane Mitchell Eason. Lovie was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rubin Manasco, an infant daughter, Betty Gaye, a daughter, Alice Fay Haynie, a step-son, John Rubin Manasco, three brothers and five sisters. Lovie is survived by two daughters, Nelda Caudill and her husband, Carroll of Diana, TX and Robbie Jean Edwards and her husband, Doug of Joan, AR, one step-daughter, Judy Fay Conerly of Florien, LA, one step-son Rodney Manasco of Carthage, TX, one sister, Jean Nash of Shreveport, LA, 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Family hours in Arkadelphia will be from 4 to 6 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many, LA with Rev. Vernon Stephenson officiating. Family hours in Many, LA will be from 12 noon until service time Wednesday. Interment will be in Fisher Cemetery in Many, LA.
