Lori Elaine Phelps, age 59, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Arkansas Hospice at CHI St Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs.  She was born September 4, 1959 in Grand Prairie, TX, the daughter of Jesse Edward and Nita Gaither Wood.  Lori managed Andy's for 28 years and at Sub-Way for 13 years.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, taking care of her cats and motorcycling.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Lori is survived by her mother, Nita Wood of Arkadelphia, her husband, J.R. Phelps of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Jessica Elaine Phelps of Arkadelphia, and one sister, Barbara Hemund (Jay) of Amity.

A memorial gathering will take place Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Welch Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:30 PM.
