Lorene Winford (White) Smith, age 92, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life of Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Twin River's Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born January 15, 1920 in Gurdon, the daughter of the late Richard F. and Mary A. Ballard Ball. Lorene was a retired nurse and a member of Third Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Voit White, her second husband, Craig Smith, two sons, Richard Edward and Jim White, four sisters and four brothers. Lorene is survived by one son Billy (Sheila) White of Arkadelphia, five grandchildren, Paul White, Jimmy L. White, Heath White, Kerri Curtis and Shari Echols, and eleven great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Hart's Chapel Cemetery at Curtis with Rev. Greg Lathem officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12 noon to 1:30 PM at Welch Funeral Home.
