Lonnie Ruth (Simpson) Gould, age 75, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at CHI St. Vincent Medical Center in Hot Springs.  She was born November 27, 1950, in Vaden, the daughter of the late Willie and Letha Vaden Simpson, Sr.  Lonnie Ruth was retired from the Human Development Center.  She is a member of Greater Tate Temple Church of God in Christ in Arkadelphia.  Lonnie Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond Gould, Jr., four sisters, Ida Reed, Ruth Simpson and Ethel Gilliam and Ruby Govan, two brothers, Ivory Simpson and Willie Simpson, Jr.

Survivors are two sons, Raymond Oliver Gould III (Cheryl) of Cookeville, TN, and Christopher Wade Gould Sr. (Daisha) of Arkadelphia, one brother, Delton Simpson (Shanna) of Arkadelphia, three sisters, Charlene Adams of Arkadelphia, Willie Mae Woodson of Arkadelphia and Dorothy Boga of North Las Vegas, three grandchildren, Christopher, Jr., Oliver and Genesis "GG" Gould.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2026, at The Greater Tate Temple Church of God in Arkadelphia with Superintendent LeRoy Williams officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Welch Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Vaden Cemetery.
