Lillian Elizabeth Williams, age 85, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Rebsamen Medical Center in Jacksonville. She was born on April 3, 1922 in Oxford, MS, the daughter of the late Elmo and Evelyn Mowry Tarver. Lillian worked many years in a Cracker Jack factory in Chicago and in the cafeteria at Arkadelphia public schools. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit Williams, one brother, John Robert Tarver, one grandson, Shane Williams and one great-grandson, Shawn Williams.

She is survived by three sons, Chuck Williams and his wife, Rose, of Cabot, Emmit Williams and his wife, Sherry, of Chicago and Greg Williams and his wife, Karen, of Plano, TX, one sister, Virginia Thweatt of Tinley Park, IL, five grandchildren, Shanley Williams and his wife, Tammy, and Sharleen Parker and her husband, Randy, Jennifer Geibel & her husband Greg, Melissa Cuniff & her husband Daniel & Ronald Williams. Three great-grandchildren, Shasta Williams, Chase Cuniff & William Geibel.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Rev. Don Gates officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Alan Wright, Bobby Bennett, Lewis Bledsoe, Butch Thweatt, Randy Parker & Shanley Williams.
