Lillian Joyce Helms, age 77, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born December 9, 1937, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Leonard and Vada Belle Ledbetter Hancock. Joyce was a homemaker and a member of Gum Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gifford Lalen Helms, and two sons, Danny and Randy Helms. Joyce is survived by two sons, Anthony Helms of Gurdon and Sammy (Gail) Helms of Arkadelphia, one brother, E.B. "Buddy" Hancock of Hot Springs Village, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Richland Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30 AM Friday at Welch Funeral Home.
