Leta May Garvin Russell, age 80, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2020, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia.  She was born May 23, 1939, in Clayton, Ok, the daughter of the late John B. and Irene Callaway Garvin.  Leta was a member of Mt Bethel Church.  She enjoyed crocheting in her free time and made many special gifts for family and friends.  Leta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, M.A. Russell, and one brother, Harold Garvin.

Survivors are her two sons, Mike Russell of Arkadelphia, David Russell (Candy) of Arkadelphia, one brother, Sam Garvin (Loretta) of Ventura, CA, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Welch Funeral Home with Wendell Crawley officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday.

Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
