Obituary

Lavelle McClure Easley, age 79, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Happy Valley Nursing Center in Malvern. She was born November 22, 1936 in Gurdon, the daughter of the late John Robert and Gertie Hammonds McClure. Lavelle was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Church in Gurdon. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and canning. Lavelle was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Elmer Easley, one son, Luke Easley, two sisters, Mary Helen Gordan and Beatrice Leamons and one brother, Billy McClure.

Survivors are two daughters, Charlotte Bailey (Gary) of Caddo Valley and Lisa Jones of Prescott, six sons, Dusty Easley (Kitty), Nick Tom Easley, Lester Easley and Phillip Easley all of Arkadelphia, Roy Easley of Texarkana and Mark Easley of Malvern, three brothers, A B McClure (Nancy), Delmas McClure (Betty) and John Wayne McClure (Sammie) all of Gurdon, eight grandchildren, Brandy May, Mitchell Jones, James Whitley, Jessica Ursery, Jordan Stewart, Tamara and Leslie Easley, and Chris Bailey, and fourteen great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Easley Cemetery in Gurdon with Nathan Rogers officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Arkadelphia.
