Bernie Lain Hindman, Jr., age 71, of Okolona died Friday, September 23, 2005 at Health Park Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born September 6, 1934 in Shreveport, LA, the son of the late Bernie Lain and Sarah Frances Henry Hindman, Sr. Lain was retired from Halliburton after twenty-five years as an oil field specialist. He was a United States Marine Corp Reserve veteran. On September 16, 1951 in Texarkana, AR, Lain married Claire Deen. In addition to his wife, Lain is survived by four sons, B. L. "Sandy" Hindman, III of Okolona, Deen Hindman of Marrero, LA, Sean Hindman of Algiers, LA and Robert Hindman of New Orleans, LA, one brother, Glen Hindman of San Benito, TX, one sister, Sarah Martin of Grapevine, TX, his father-in-law, Clyde Earl Deen of New Orleans, LA, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
