Kevin Jason Dorning, age 48, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Monday, April 26, 2021, at his home.  He was born February 28, 1973, in Portland, OR, the son of Kevin and Gail Sethney Dorning.  Kevin grew up in Portland, OR, and attended Park Rose Grade School, Vestal Elementary and Madison High School.  He worked as a steel worker erecting buildings until suffering two traumatic brain injuries.  He was forced to stop working due to daily seizures and other issues which made it too dangerous to drive or work.

Kevin was a staunch Oregon Ducks fan, even though he lived in Arkansas.  He enjoyed playing the guitar in his free time.  In the past several years, he became a strong advocate for marijuana legalization in Arkansas.  He loved a lot of people and a number of people loved him too.  Kevin loved fishing and helping his friend Corey take care of the camp.  He had two cats which he loved very much and spoiled every day.

In the past few years Kevin developed an interest in the Gaelic language.  He also had a deep interest in the Dorning family genealogy.  Kevin had a number of Dorning related friends all over the world.

Survivors are his daughter, Sarah K. Dorning of Montrose, CA, his father, Kevin Dorning of Milwaukee, OR, one brother, Benjamin Dorning (Sarah) of Las Vegas, NV, one sister, Christy Hegle of Gresham, OR, and two step daughters, Lindsey Cotton of Arkadelphia and Kealy Cotton of Conway.
